And no doubt the Working Party is composed of the same numptys who closed the perfectly located Museum building in Central Yeovil and relocated it to the dust cart depot at Lufton. You couldn't make it up!

It does all feel very predictable

Dear Nicholas

It will probably get sold off when the heat is off and the proceeds lost to nefarious organisations without accountability.

Paul.

I sincerely hope not Paul. We need to ensure accountability and thanks to Somerset Confidential for highlighting this disgraceful state of affairs. In fact I had heard about it at Sherborne Museum last week, so the news is getting around the heritage world. What does this say about Yeovil and the people who run it? I believe the Museum was originally part of the Yeovil Library complex, then the Petters Way site and now a depot where no visitors can find it. Pathetic. Poor staff to be treated in this way. The collection deserves a purpose built building in the town centre.

I concur with you Nicholas, from a similar enterprise around 10 years ago. Sadly took lots of valuable items into care, saving them from the skip or scrap yard! This was when Glastonbury Rural life Museum cleansed its decks to create a profit making adventure orchestrated by the late Robert Richards via Glastonbury Festival, Ironically the festival that has destroyed the local rural community along with its environment.

I am custodian of an amazing legacy a museum created in 1919 by Annie Naish, along with black smith/farrier shops etc. I have always had an affinity with old agricultural machinery and our ancestral past, the farm most recently found remains of a skirmish ambush on the Duke of Monmouth by the royalists, roman remains and a Viking bracelet to name but a few, our very antique traditional cider business has been recently destroyed by the same criminal cartel running the council and indeed the establishment, I know first hand as I refused to join in with there game and become a member of the Brotherhood.

Sadly there not interested in our past or anything to do with educating or supporting the public especially towards our glorious its history and heritage, its become all about selfish power and the desire for grate wealth, look at me.

We have so much incredible knowledge here regarding our history, I don't know what the future holds as its now become in the eyes of modern progress useless and obsolete.

We will continue looking after this hoard as long as we can, trouble is as history dictates, if its taken into care by authority's or societies along with there solemn promise's, they are never adhered to just Like the Rural Life Museum when things where originally given with heart for local prosperity in the 1970's. only to be skipped and sold off for a commercial enterprise and for the public illusion of progress by a local corporation. Just look back and see who the contractors where ant there obscene 20% oilgae bill written into the contract by there buddies on the council. We are still at war with the Royalists!?

Thank you Nicholas have a great day.

Paul.
