Is the same Somerset Council that has declared a Climate Emergency, and as part of this declaration one of its policies is to encourage walking, amongst other alternatives to petrol/diesel vehicles?
This declaration is meaningless without action.
Anecdotally, I've been given the brush off on many occasions when reporting obstruction on footpaths, lack of dropped kerbs for wheelchair users etc.
Makes me wonder if there is a climate emergency or is it just an excuse to raise taxes?
