Andrew, You made the case a few months ago on Somerset Confidential. Reform of the Somerset ICB is essential, and urgent. How do you suggest we make this happen?

You make a good point, but I think if AL had the answer to your question, he wouldn't be the editor of an online newspaper 😁.

Firstly, the largest share of most constituencies, up and down the country were the people who, for whatever reason did not vote/spoilt their ballot paper.

How to get those people to take an interest in politics, which follows nicely onto my additional observation. I went shopping in Taunton this morning and...... everyone was going about their business as they did yesterday, and the day before that, and the day before....etc. etc.

For the average person, life goes on regardless of the colour of the government, and with such a huge majoritys for each at recent elections, neither of the two main parties will be in a hurry to change anything, anytime soon.

Secondly, regards the bosses in charge of Somerset NHS.

In my experience of large organisations, whenever they are failing, they usually have a reorganization and/or move the accounting goalposts, in that way they justify their 6-figure salaries and/or large pension pots paid for at taxpayers expense, with the excuse ".......that was under the previous regime...."

.....and so it goes on, whatever the colour of the government
